Onsdag, 17 June 2009, 7:00 p.m., ?Rings With a History? by Betty Larson. Betty Larson, Sons of Norway member over 25 years, has travelled back to Norway frequently to visit family and friends, and to enjoy the fabulous country. She has wonderful stories of her and her husband, Ray's travels to Norway. Betty will share her beautiful collection of napkin rings. She will tell some of the history of napkins and napkin rings. And we hope she will share stories of Norway as well.

The Syttende Mai celebration will be a social hour, parade, dinner, and program to be held beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 16. It will be held at Peace Lutheran church, 501 E. Fillmore Ave. (off Hamilton Ave.), Eau Claire. Tickets will be $15.00, and will be available at our next meeting and at all of the usual places.

We will have an information/display table in front of Scandinavian Imports. We will also have our float in the parade. Parade starts at 3:00 p.m. and goes from Wilson Park to the Railroad St. parking lot (approx. 10 blocks). Those helping assemble the float will meet at Mavis Zimmerman's in the morning. If you've never attended this event before you should really see all the displays, taste the food, and listen to the music!
